Step 2: Medical Marijuana Evaluation

Once the doctor determines that medical marijuana may be beneficial for your condition, they will provide you with an online certification through the Mississippi Medical Cannabis Program (MMCP) portal.

What documentations do I need to bring to my appointment?
- Medical Record: State law requires that a physician to obtain medical records showing the diagnosis for the conditions you have. If you don’t have the records in your possession, please complete our medical records release form and we will obtain the records for you.

Will my insurance cover the fees?
Unfortunately, at the current time, insurance companies do not cover the medical marijuana certification.

Where will I get my medical marijuana card?
ID card is not required but if it is available as an option. You can apply for an ID card from Mississippi Medical Cannabis Program for a fee of $25.
Do you provide marijuana after certification?
