What documentations do I need to bring to my appointment?

  • Medical Record: State law requires that a physician to obtain medical records showing the diagnosis for the conditions you have. If you don’t have the records in your possession, please complete our medical records release form and we will obtain the records for you.

Will my insurance cover the fees?

Unfortunately, at the current time, insurance companies do not cover the medical marijuana certification.

Is the appointment in person or telemedicine?

Where will I get my medical marijuana card?

You can apply for an ID card from Mississippi Medical Cannabis Program for a fee of $25.

Do you provide marijuana after certification?

Our role as doctors is to assess your condition and certify your eligibility for a medical marijuana card. Once you are approved as a qualifying patient, you will have the ability to obtain medical marijuana from a licensed dispensary or through a designated caregiver who meets the necessary qualifications.

Are the dispensaries open?

Yes, several dispensaries across the state have products and are now operating.

How to legally obtain medical cannabis?

Step 1: Schedule a face to face appointment with our physician or nurse practitioner participating in the Mississippi Medical Cannabis Program.

.Step 2: We will complete medical certification for the medical cannabis program for you. Certification is not a prescription.

Step 3: Complete application to participate in the program and receive an identification card.

Step 4: Receipt of Patient Identification Card

Step 5: You can now purchase from any of the licensed dispensary in Mississippi.

Where can I legally travel with medical cannabis?

A legal patient may travel to any location in the state of Mississippi (other than federal government property when in possession of medical cannabis). Possession of cannabis is a violation of federal law and Mississippi residents should carefully read the current state statutes regarding the use of medical cannabis and be aware that taking cannabis across State lines is a federal offense. Cannabis is also illegal on federal government property. The State of Mississippi laws cannot authorize you to travel to other states, jurisdictions or countries with this medicine in your possession.

How much medical cannabis can a certified patient possess at one time?

​No more than 21 grams per week, unless a provider makes a special determination that a patient needs more.
